Hello,

This weekend, crews will be completing work on the Highway 7 rapidway. Please see details below:

work dates*: Sunday, Dec. 6 to Monday, Dec. 7
work hours: 7pm – 6am

• Crews will be relocating concrete barriers on Highway 7 in the VMC area between Edgeley Blvd and Jane Street.
• Highway 7 eastbound will be reduced to one lane during this work.
• In order to perform this work on either side of the eastbound lanes, the lane closure will alternate between Lane 1 and 2 throughout the night.
• There will be construction-related noise from equipment and trucks.

work dates*: Saturday, Dec. 5, and Monday, Dec. 7 to Thursday, Dec. 10
work hours: Tomorrow from 7am to 5pm, and during the week, 9:30am to 3:30pm

• Crews will be installing streetlight poles between Keele Street and the GO Barrie Bridge. In addition, crews will be removing earth piles on the south side in that area.
• Traffic will be reduced to one lane eastbound from Hillside to the GO Barrie Bridge.
• Some driveways on the south side of Highway 7 may be temporarily disrupted. Flag persons will be onsite.
• There will be construction-related noise from equipment and trucks.
