Utility location work is beginning this week

Hello,

Phase one of vivaNext rapidway construction along Highway 7 West is well underway in the City of Vaughan and we’re gearing up for pre-construction activity for Phase two.

Starting this week, crews are completing utility location work along Highway 7 [from Helen Street to Edgeley/Interchange Way] and along Bathurst & Centre Streets. Please see the details below about temporary, rolling lane closures:

work dates*: starting the week of October 26 for approximately eight weeks
work hours: 9:30am – 3:30pm

  • Crews will be using a hydrovac truck to locate utilities.
  • There will be temporary, rolling curb lane closures and there may be some noise impacts associated with this work.

We understand that construction can be disruptive, and we thank you in advance for your patience as we transform the Bathurst & Centre community and Highway 7 West in Woodbridge. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
