lane closures for work on Highway 7 from Hillside to Baldwin

Tonight crews are line painting the north side of Highway 7, from Keele to Bowes Road. Then, on Thursday, September 24, traffic will shift to the north side of Hwy 7 and utility work will begin on the south side at Bowes. Please see below for detailed information about lane closures.

reminder: Highway 7 West line painting

dates /time of work*: Wednesday, Sept. 23 from 7pm to 6am

  • To accommodate tonight’s line painting, crews are reducing traffic to one lane in each direction along Highway 7 West from Keele Street to the GO Barrie Bridge.
  • Motorists and transit riders may experience traffic delays in these areas.
  • At times there will be noise and vibration around the work area.

lane closures for utility work on Highway 7 at Bowes

dates /hours of work*: From Thursday, Sept. 24 to Oct. 1 from 8:30am to 3:30pm

  • As early as Thursday, September 24, utility work will begin on Highway 7 at Bowes Road.
  • To accommodate the utility work, eastbound traffic will be down to one lane for approximately one week.
  • Motorists and transit riders may experience traffic delays in these areas.
  • At times there will be noise and vibration around the work area.
