Please see the information below about a temporary traffic signal outage at Highway 7 and Jane Street in Vaughan.

Friday AM intersection outage at Hwy 7 & Jane

dates /hours of work*:  9am to 1pm, on Friday, June 5*

  • Powerstream/Transpower will be completing the installation of new power cables at the northeast corner of Jane and Hwy 7 on Friday morning from 9am–1pm.
  • This will involve a temporary disruption to the Jane-Hwy 7 intersection traffic lights, therefore paid-duty police officers will direct traffic.
  • Motorists and transit riders should expect traffic delays near this intersection.
  • There will be construction-related noise from equipment and trucks.
  • Sidewalks, crosswalks and bus stops will remain open.
  • Power will be restored by 1pm Friday afternoon.

As construction activity continues along Highway 7 West, please remember to reduce your speed through construction zones, and watch for and follow directional signs.
