If it’s spring, it must be paving season! This weekend, crews are paving the south side of the Jane Street and Highway 7 intersection. Please see below for details on the temporary lane reductions and traffic shift:

dates /hours of work*: The lane closures will be in place 24 hours per day from 7pm on Friday, May 29 until 6am, Monday, June 1.

what you need to know:

• During paving, traffic on Hwy 7 will be shifted to the north side, with one lane open in each direction, from Edgeley Boulevard to Maplecrete Rd.
• The south side of the Jane-Hwy 7 intersection will be closed.
• Traffic moving southbound on Jane will be able to turn right (westbound) only onto Hwy 7.
• No left turns will be possible.
• Detour signs to use Interchange Way, Doughton, Maplecrete or Creditstone will be in place, and paid duty police officers will be onsite to help direct traffic.
• Access will be maintained to all properties in work areas; however, driveways may be temporarily disrupted – please watch for directional signs.
• Some bus stop relocations may be required for this work and wherever possible, sidewalks will remain open. If a bus stop or sidewalk is affected, directional signs will be onsite to guide pedestrians.
• There will be construction-related noise from equipment and trucks.
• Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination.

As construction activity, lane closures and traffic shifts continue along Hwy. 7 West, please remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.
