It’s an exciting time as the transformation of Hwy. 7 has made significant progress. As crews continue platform work at the future vivastations, the next segments of base-layer paving will begin between Edgeley Blvd./Interchange Way to Keele St. These paving activities will be completed in sections over the next two months and include closures and detours along Hwy. 7.

Please see paving details below for this weekend’s work at the south side of the Keele and Hwy. 7 intersection:

dates /hours of work*: The lane closures will be in place 24 hours per day from 7pm on Friday, May 22 until 6am, Monday, May 25.

what you need to know:

• During paving, traffic on Hwy 7 will be shifted to the north side, with one lane open in each direction.
• The south side of the Keele-Hwy 7 intersection will be closed except the right-turn lane, so traffic will be able to turn right from Keele onto Hwy 7.
• Detour signs to use Jane or Dufferin will be in place, and paid duty police officers will be onsite to help direct traffic.
• Access will be maintained to all properties in work areas; however, driveways may be temporarily disrupted – please watch for directional signs.
• Some bus stop relocations may be required for this work and wherever possible, sidewalks will remain open. If a bus stop or sidewalk is affected, directional signs will be onsite to guide pedestrians.
• There will be construction-related noise from equipment and trucks.
• Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination.
