Hwy 7 W – lane closures Edgeley to Jane, and at Bowes

As part of rapidway construction, storm sewer and hydro installations continue along the north side of Highway 7. Crews will be working at the intersection of Highway 7 West and Bowes Road for approximately three days, and between Edgeley Boulevard and Jane Street for approximately one week*. Please see the information below about temporary lane closures.

dates of work*: Friday, April 24 to Tuesday, April 28
work hours: 7am to 5pm

noticeable impacts:

  • Bowes Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction near the Highway 7 intersection.
  • Paid duty police officers will be on site to direct motorists and pedestrians as required.
  • There will be construction-related noise and dust from equipment and trucks.
  • Access will be maintained to properties in work areas; however, driveways may be reduced or temporarily disrupted.
  • Large equipment used for these operations will be stored along the side of the road for the duration of this work.

hydro installation between Edgeley Boulevard and Jane Street

dates of work*: Sunday, April 26 to Sunday, May 3
work hours: overnight work from 8pm to 6am

noticeable impacts:

  • Between Edgeley and Jane, lanes will be reduced as crews work across Highway 7 – at least one lane will remain open in each direction at all times.
  • All work will be completed at night.
  • Paid duty police officers will be on site to direct motorists and pedestrians as required.
  • There will be construction-related noise and dust from equipment and trucks.
