March 6, 2015

Next week, crews will be reducing lanes along Highway 7 West for line painting. Please see below for details on temporary lane reductions:

Highway 7 West line painting

dates of work*: Monday, March 9
work hours: 9:30am to 3:30pm

noticeable impacts:

  • Crews will be line painting at the Creditstone Road and Highway 7 intersection
  • Lanes will be reduced to one lane in each direction, northbound and southbound
  • Eastbound lanes may be reduced to one lane for a short duration

dates of work*: Thursday, March 12
work hours: 9:30am to 3:30pm

noticeable impacts:

  • Crews will be line painting for approximately an hour, with traffic reduced to one lane at each of the following locations:

    • Edgeley Boulevard and Highway 7 intersection – northbound and southbound lanes
    • Jane Street and Highway 7 intersection – eastbound and westbound lanes
    • Creditstone Road and Highway 7 intersection – northbound, southbound and eastbound
    • East of the CN Macmillan Bridge and east of Keele Street – potential traffic delays along Highway 7 due to a slow-moving painting truck
  • Traffic control staff will be on site for the duration of the work. Motorists and transit riders may experience traffic delays in these areas due to lane reductions.
  • Due to the nature of this work, at times there will be noise and vibration around the work area. Monitoring will be conducted to ensure all levels are kept within industry standards.
