what impacts will there be?

  • There will be construction-related noise and dust from equipment and trucks.
  • There will be temporary eastbound curb lane closures required along Highway 7 West from Hillside to east of Baldwin. More information about these lane closures will be provided once the details are confirmed.
  • Wherever possible, sidewalks will remain open. If a sidewalk is closed, directional signage will be on site to guide pedestrians.
  • The large equipment used for these operations will be stored along the boulevards for the duration of this work.
  • Access will be maintained to properties in work areas, however driveways may be reduced or temporarily disrupted. Advance notice will be provided wherever possible.
  • Some bus stop relocations may be required for this work. Where bus stops are affected, directional signs will guide pedestrians to the nearest open bus stop.
  • Some weekend work may be required.

We understand that construction can be disruptive and we thank you in advance for your patience during this time. If you have any questions about the rapidway project, please call:
