paving continues between Jane Street and the CN Bridge

Crews will begin the next section of base-layer paving between Jane Street and the CN Bridge starting tomorrow. These paving activities will be completed in sections on both the north and south sides of Highway 7. Please see details below for traffic and pedestrian impacts. Please note that all of the following work activities are weather dependent.

north side of Highway 7, from Jane to Creditstone:

dates of work*: Friday, November 7
work hours*: 7:00am – 7:00pm

what you need to know:

  • During paving, north and southbound traffic lanes on Creditstone Road, north of Highway 7 will be temporarily reduced to one lane in each direction from 7am to 7pm. Please expect traffic delays due to lane restrictions.
  • Access to driveways/entrances in the work area along Highway 7 will be temporarily closed. Please watch for directional signs to access plazas from Creditstone.
  • Pedestrians should use signalized crossings at Creditstone Road to access Highway 7 on the north side.
  • Traffic control staff will be onsite to guide pedestrians and motorists. Where required, paid duty police officers will direct and manage traffic flow.

south side of Highway 7, from Creditstone to the CN Bridge:

dates of work*: Saturday, November 8
work hours*: 7:00am – 7:00pm

what you need to know:

  • Crews will continue paving on Saturday, November 8 along the south side of Highway 7, from Creditstone to the CN Bridge.
  • During this paving work, traffic will be temporarily shifted to the north, with two lanes in each direction.
  • The Creditstone intersection will remain open and will be paved at a later date.
  • Driveway access to businesses and properties will remain open, but there may be short delays as crews finish work. Please watch for directional signs to access plazas from Creditstone.
  • Traffic control staff will be onsite to guide pedestrians and motorists. Please expect traffic delays.

line painting from Jane to the CN Bridge

dates of work*: Sunday, November 9
work hours*: 3:00pm – 11:00 pm

what you need to know:

  • Once paving is complete, crews will be line painting along Highway 7, between Jane and the CN Bridge.
  • During this line painting work, there will be temporary, rolling east and westbound lane closures from 3:00pm to 11:00pm.
  • Due to the nature of this work there will be noise and vibration around work areas.
  • Traffic control staff and paid duty officers will be on site for the duration of the work.
  • Motorists and transit riders may experience traffic delays.
  • Access will be maintained to driveways in work areas.
