Crews are continuing pre-construction work along Highway 7 West, from Highway 400 to Bowes Road, to prepare for the first for the first phase of rapidway construction. Please see details below:

Soil sampling & utility location

Dates of work*: Monday, April 1 to Monday, April 8

Hours of work: 8am to 5pm

Work locations: Various boulevard locations along Highway 7 West, between Keele Street and Bowes Road.

Description of work: Crews will bore sample holes along the boulevard. Each hole will be filled before crews move to the next spot.

Asphalt repair

Dates of work*: Monday, April 1

Hours of work: 9:30am to 3:30pm

Work locations: Various locations along
Highway 7 West, between Keele Street and Bowes Road.

Description of work: Crews will repair/fill holes along curb lanes. Each hole will be
filled before crews move to the next spot.

Relocating signs

Dates of work*: Wednesday, April 3 to Monday, April 8

Hours of work: 9:30am to 3:30pm

Work locations: Various locations along Highway 7 West,
between Highway 400 and Bowes Road.

Description of work: Crews will
remove designated signs along the boulevards.

Noticeable affect: All traffic lanes and sidewalks will remain open during this pre-construction work. Some traffic delays and noise impacts may be noticeable.

The project information office located at 7800 Jane Street will be closed on Monday, April 1 for the Easter Monday holiday.
