It’s an exciting time as the transformation of Highway 7 progresses! Tonight, crews are paving the section of Costa Road just south of Highway 7. In addition, there will be line painting in various locations between Edgeley Blvd. and Bowes Rd. Please see below for details for temporary lane reductions, closures and traffic impacts:
paving on Costa Rd., just south of Highway 7
work dates*: Tuesday, May 17 to Wednesday, May 18
work hours: 7pm–6am, overnight
- Tonight crews will be working around the clock to complete grinding and paving activities on Costa Rd. just south of Highway 7.
- Costa Rd. will be closed at Highway 7.
- Eastbound and westbound Highway 7 lanes will not be affected by this work.
- Detour signs will be in place and paid duty police officers will be on site to help guide pedestrians and drivers. Please see the detour map for details.
- There will be construction-related noise from equipment and trucks.
- Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.

- Tonight, crews will be line painting in various locations between Edgeley/Interchange and Bowes/Baldwin.
- Highway 7 will be reduced to 1 lane for eastbound Highway 7 traffic, between Keele and Bowes/Baldwin, as well as eastbound and westbound Highway 7 traffic, around the Creditstone intersection.
- Jane St. and Edgeley/Interchange will be reduced to 1 lane in either direction (both northbound and southbound).
- Once painting is complete in these areas, lanes will re-open.
Please note: As with other road construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather or other variables. We are committed to providing advance notice whenever possible.
