Highway 7 paving at Bowes Road

This weekend, crews are paving the north side of the Highway 7 intersection at Bowes Road. Please see below for details on the temporary lane reductions and traffic shift:

Highway 7 paving at Bowes Road

dates /hours of work*: The lane closures will be in place 24 hours per day from 7pm on Friday, August 28 until 5am, Monday, August 31.

what you need to know:

  • During paving, the north side of the Bowes Rd. and Highway 7 intersection will be closed.
  • Traffic on Hwy 7 will be reduced to one lane westbound, and one lane eastbound. Paid duty police officers will be at the Bowes/Baldwin intersection to help direct traffic. There will be a dedicated left turn lane onto Baldwin Ave.
  • Detour signs will be in place to use Keele Street and North Rivermede Road. For detailed information, see the detour map.
  • Signs to direct pedestrians will be onsite.
  • There will be construction-related noise from equipment and trucks.
  • Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.
