Hello,
Starting tomorrow, crews will be installing new hydro poles on Centre Street and conducting median work on Highway 7 between the Bathurst and Yonge Street connector roads. Please see below for further details.
hydro pole installations on Centre:
work dates*: Tuesday, Nov. 7
work hours*: 7am–5pm
- Tomorrow, crews will be installing two new hydro poles on the north side of Centre St., just west of New Westminster Drive.
- To accommodate this work, westbound Centre will be reduced to one lane just west of New Westminster.
- Traffic control staff and paid duty police officers will be on site to direct traffic as required.
- Wherever possible, sidewalks and bus stops will remain open. If a bus stop or sidewalk is temporarily closed, directional signs will guide pedestrians to the nearest open bus stop or sidewalk.
- Due to the nature of this work, there will be construction-related noise from equipment and trucks.

work dates*: Tuesday, Nov. 7 for approximately two weeks
work hours*: 7am–5pm, with 24-hour/day lane closure
- To accommodate median work, the eastbound median lane on Hwy 7 will be closed between the Bathurst and Yonge connectors.
- There may be median lane closures on the Yonge connector as well.
- Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.
