hydro pole installation continues on Bathurst

July 21, 2017

Hello,

Next week, crews are continuing the installation of new 26-metre hydro poles on Bathurst Street between Summeridge Drive and the Highway 407 overpass. Please see below for further details.

what you need to know:

work dates*: Monday, July 24, and over the next several weeks
work hours*: 8am–4pm

  • For the next week or so, crews will be excavating and installing the foundations for the new hydro poles along Bathurst with short-term lane closures from just north of Summeridge to the south end of the Highway 407 overpass.
  • While the majority of work will be taking place within the boulevard area off the road, there will be rolling curb lane closures around the work areas.
  • Crews will be moving back and forth along the corridor to complete this work.
  • Bus stops and sidewalks will remain open where possible. If a bus stop or sidewalk is closed, directional signs will guide pedestrians to the nearest open bus stop or sidewalk.
  • Due to the nature of this work, there will be construction-related noise and dust from equipment and trucks.
  • Installation of the new hydro poles will continue over the next few weeks, we will communicate more details very soon!

*Please note: As with other road construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather or other variables. We are committed to providing advance notice whenever possible. Check twitter.com/vivanext for last-minute updates.

We understand that construction can be disruptive and we thank you in advance for your patience during this time. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
