telecommunications work continues on Bathurst Street

July 06, 2017

As telecommunications work on Bathurst Street progresses, starting tomorrow, crews will continue to move north along the west side of Bathurst St. to Worth Boulevard/Flamingo Road. There will be curb lane closures to accommodate this work. Please see below for further details.

work dates*: Friday July 7th for approximately 2 weeks
work hours*: 7am–4pm

  • While most of the work will take place on the boulevards, there will be southbound curb lane closures along Bathurst between Westmount Blvd. and New Westminster Dr.
  • The right turn lane on Bathurst at New Westminster and a short segment of the westbound curb lane on New Westminster will be closed.
  • Once the work moves north to Worth Blvd./Flamingo Rd., there will be short curb lane closures around the work areas on both Worth and Flamingo.
  • Sidewalks and bus stops will remain open wherever possible. Where the sidewalk or bus stop is relocated or closed, directional signs will guide pedestrians to the nearest open sidewalk or stop.
  • Access will be maintained to properties in work areas; however, driveways may be reduced or temporarily disrupted. Advance notice will be provided wherever possible.
  • Some overnight and/or weekend work may be required.
  • Due to the nature of this work, there will be construction-related noise from equipment and trucks.
  • Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.

*Please note: As with other road construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather or other variables. We are committed to providing advance notice whenever possible. Check twitter.com/vivanext for last-minute updates.
