As hydro pole installations on Centre Street continue to progress, three poles will be installed on the north side of Centre St at New Westminster Drive and at Disera Drive. Please see below for further details on lane closures.

what you need to know:

• To accommodate the installation of hydro poles, Centre will be reduced to one lane in each direction near New Westminster and Disera and traffic will be shifted to the south, away from the work area.
• Driveways may be temporarily disrupted around the work area.
• As each new pole is hoisted and placed on its foundation, traffic on Centre will be stopped in all directions for up to 10-15 minutes at a time.
• Traffic control staff and paid duty police officers will be on site to direct traffic as required.
• Sidewalks and bus stops will remain open wherever possible. If sidewalk or bus stop is closed, directional signs will guide pedestrians to the nearest open sidewalk or stop.
• Due to the nature of this work, there will be construction-related noise from equipment and trucks.

• Over the next several weeks, crews will be working on framing the poles and stringing the lines in this area. To accommodate this work, short-term curb lane closures may be required.
