Next week, crews are continuing the installation of new 26-metre hydro poles along the west side of Bathurst Street, that started earlier this week, from south of Worth Boulevard to Beverley Glen Drive. In addition, starting this Sunday, YRT 77 and Viva Purple will be riding in the Highway 7 rapidway. Please see below for further details.

- This work is a continuation of the pole installations started earlier this week.
- On Tuesday and Wednesday next week, northbound and southbound Bathurst St. will be reduced to one lane in each direction.
- In addition, traffic will be shifted into easterly lanes away from the work area.
- As each new pole is hoisted up and over existing wires and placed on its foundation, traffic on Bathurst will be stopped in all directions for up to 10-15 minutes at a time.
- Traffic control staff and paid duty police officers will be on site to direct traffic as required.
- Bus stops and sidewalks will remain open wherever possible. If a bus stop or sidewalk is closed, directional signs will guide pedestrians to the nearest open bus stop or sidewalk.
- Starting next Thursday, over the next two to three weeks, crews will be working on framing the poles and stringing the lines in this area. To accommodate this work, short-term curb lane closures may be required.
- After this stretch has been completed, crews will move to the next segment along Bathurst between Beverley Glen and Centre St. We will continue to communicate details as work progresses.
- Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.
- Due to the nature of this work, there will be construction-related noise from equipment and trucks.

YRT Route 77 and Viva Purple to service vivastations in rapidway on Highway 7
- A new stage in the transformation of Highway 7 is happening! Beginning on Sunday, Feb. 26, YRT Route 77 and Viva Purple will temporarily change bus stop locations to operate in the rapidway on Highway 7 West between Keele Street and Bowes Road until the opening of the Toronto-York Spadina Subway Extension later this year.
