next week on Centre Street >> storm sewer and culvert work

October 20, 2017

Next week, to accommodate storm sewer and culvert work there will be lane closures on Centre Street between Dufferin Street and Concord Road/Wade Gate. Please see below for further details:

Map: Bathurst Street work area

work dates*: Monday, Oct. 23 for approximately three weeks
work hours*: 7am – 5pm [closure in place 24-hrs/day]

what you need to know:

  • The work area required for the storm sewer and culvert work will cross Centre in 3 stages of lane closures.
  • Stage 1: South side of Centre, with one lane open eastbound and no impact to westbound lanes.
  • Stage 2: Middle of Centre, with one lane open eastbound and no impact to westbound lanes.
  • Stage 3: North side of Centre, no impact to eastbound lanes, and one westbound lane open.
  • Sidewalks will remain open wherever possible. If a sidewalk is closed, directional signs will be onsite to help guide pedestrians.
  • Due to the nature of these work activities, at times there will be construction-related noise and vibration from equipment and trucks.
  • Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.

*Please note: As with other road construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather or other variables. We are committed to providing advance notice whenever possible. Check twitter.com/vivanext for last-minute updates.

We understand that construction can be disruptive and we thank you in advance for your patience during this time. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
