Beginning Tuesday, crews will be continuing storm sewer installation on Centre Street between New Westminster and North Promenade. This will require a lane closure of the eastbound right turn lane at North Promenade. In addition, the paving of the Bathurst connector road is now scheduled for Tuesday. Please see below for further details.

storm sewer installations on Centre St.:

work dates*: Tuesday, August 8 to Friday, August 11
work hours*: 9am–5pm [with closure in place 24hrs/day]

• To accommodate storm sewer installations between New Westminster and North Promenade, the eastbound right turn lane at North Promenade will be closed.
• Access to the Promenade Terminal will remain open at all times.
• Sidewalks and bus stops will remain open wherever possible. If a sidewalk or bus stop is temporarily closed, directional signs will guide pedestrians to the nearest open sidewalk or bus stop.
• Due to the nature of this work, there will be construction-related noise and dust from equipment and trucks.
• Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.

paving on the Bathurst  connector:

work dates*: Tuesday, August 8 to Thursday, August 10
work hours*: 7am–7pm

• Crews will be milling and paving the southbound curb lane on the Bathurst connector.
• On Tuesday, the southbound curb lane will be closed for milling, and will reopen once works are completed – this work could continue into Wednesday.
• On Thursday the southbound curb lane will be closed for paving.
• Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.
