An important step in building the vivaNext rapidway is relocating telecommunications. Next week, crews will be starting with the first segment of this work on the west side of Bathurst Street. There will be curb lane closures to accommodate this work. Please see below for further details.

work dates*: Wednesday, June 28 to the end of August
work hours*: 8am–4pm

what you need to know:

• While most of the work will take place within the boulevards, there will be curb lane closures on Bathurst St. and a short segment of Centre St. west of Bathurst around the work areas between the hours of 9:30am and 6pm.
• Crews will begin at the northwest corner of Centre and Bathurst, and progress north to Worth Blvd.
• Sidewalks and bus stops will remain open wherever possible. Where the sidewalk or bus stop is relocated or closed, directional signs will guide pedestrians to the nearest open sidewalk or stop.
• Access will be maintained to properties in work areas; however, driveways may be reduced or temporarily disrupted. Advance notice will be provided wherever possible.
• Some overnight and/or weekend work may be required.
• Due to the nature of this work, there will be construction-related noise from equipment and trucks.
• Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.
