road work continues on Highway 7

May 26, 2017

As part of the road work currently underway on Highway 7, next week crews will be reconstructing a short segment of Highway 7 between the Bathurst Street connector road and Hunter’s Point Drive. This work will require overnight lane closures on Tuesday and Thursday. Please see below for further details.

Map: Bathurst Street work area

work dates*: Tuesday, May 30 and Thursday, June 1
work hours*: 6:30pm-6:30am, overnight

  • On Monday, crews will be continuing work in existing lane closures on Highway 7 in this stretch between 6:30am-6:30pm.
  • To accommodate Tuesday night’s work, eastbound traffic will be reduced to one lane for a short segment along Highway 7, east of the Bathurst St. connector road [map 1].
  • To accommodate Thursday night’s work, westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane, west of Hunter’s Point [map 2].
  • After each overnight operation, traffic will reopen to two lanes in each direction in the morning.
  • There will be construction-related noise and vibration from equipment and trucks during this activity.
  • Now that construction is underway in this area, the speed limit has been reduced to 60km/h.
  • Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.

*Please note: As with other road construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather or other variables. We are committed to providing advance notice whenever possible.

We understand that construction can be disruptive and we thank you in advance for your patience as we transform the Bathurst & Centre area. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
