The next segment of water main work is beginning Monday on the south side of Centre Street between Carl Tennen Street and New Westminster Drive. Sections of the south sidewalk and the eastbound curb lane will be closed in this area. Please see below for further details.

what you need to know:
- This segment of water main work is happening on the south side of Centre between Carl Tennen and New Westminster.
- The eastbound curb lane on Centre in this section will be closed daily.
- The sidewalk on the south side of Centre will be closed between 1137 Centre St. and New Westminster. Note that pedestrians will be able to access businesses at 1137 Centre from Carl Tennen.
- Transit customers can access the bus stop on eastbound Centre between Carl Tennen and New Westminster from the north side of Centre via the signalized intersection. The bus stop on eastbound Centre at New Westminster will also remain open.
- Directional signs will be onsite to help guide pedestrians.
- Closures are required around work areas due to excavating, installing pipe, backfilling and other related activities.
- Due to the nature of this work, at times there will be construction-related noise, dust and vibration from equipment and trucks.
- There may be noise prior to 7am as crews assemble and arrange the equipment they require.
