work dates*: Monday, Sept. 19 to Friday, Sept. 30
work hours*: 7am–5pm, lane closures 9am–4pm

what you need to know:

  • Crews will install temporary traffic poles and attach traffic and pedestrian signals at each corner of the intersection of Bathurst Street and the Highway 7 connector road.
  • There will be short-term curb lane closures around the work areas as crews install the temporary traffic poles and string and install the new signals.
  • Traffic will continue through the intersection, including left-turns and right-turns.
  • Wherever possible, sidewalks and bus stops will remain open. If a bus stop or sidewalk is temporarily closed, directional signs will guide pedestrians to the nearest open bus stop or sidewalk.
  • Traffic control staff and paid duty police officers will be on site as required.
  • Due to the nature of this work, at times there will be construction-related noise and vibration around the work area from equipment and trucks.
  • After the temporary poles and signals have been installed, the traffic signals will be activated at a later date. Details to be provided.
  • Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination, and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.
