On Monday, crews will start the last phase of extending rapidway medians along Davis, from Niagara Street to Bayview Parkway / Charles Street. Please read on for details.

work dates*: Monday, July 18 to Friday, July 22
work hours*: 7am-7pm

what you need to know:

• In preparation for this work, crews will be setting up traffic barrels between Niagara and Bayview / Charles during the early hours of Monday, July 18.
• Traffic barrels and lane closures will remain in place for the duration of this work.
• Westbound Viva Yellow will merge into traffic at Bayview and merge back into the rapidway just east of Main Street. Please yield to Viva vehicles during this work.
• The eastbound vivastation platform at Main Street will be closed for the duration of this work. Viva Yellow customers can get on and off the bus at the southwest corner of Davis and Main. OneRide, PRESTO and validation machines will still be available at the centre platform.
• Eastbound Viva Yellow will merge over to the curb lane from Niagara to pick up and drop off customers at the intersection of Davis and Main. Viva Yellow will continue in mixed traffic until just west of Charles where it will merge back into the rapidway.
• Eastbound traffic will be reduced to one lane at Keith Bridge.
• Noise, dust and intermittent vibrations are associated with this work.

*Please note: as with other road construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather. We’ll provide advance notice whenever possible.
