sidewalk and planting update for Davis Drive

June 3, 2016

Crews have been planting trees, shrubs and perennials, and completing permanent sidewalks along Davis Drive between Yonge Street and Patterson Street / Roxborough Road. The corridor is becoming an even more attractive, pedestrian-friendly place for people to live, work, shop and play.

sidewalk planting continues this weekend

Starting this weekend, crews will be planting along the sidewalks between Longford Drive / Parkside Drive and Tannery Mall.

work dates*: Saturday, June 4 to Friday, June 10
work hours*: 7am-7pm

  • Temporary rolling curb-lane closures will be required to complete the work as crews move along the east and westbound lanes.
  • YRT buses will continue to drop-off/pick-up at all regular stops. Please board at curbside stops and shelters as normal.
  • Sidewalks will remain open.
  • Noise and dust are associated with this work.

sidewalk update

Sidewalk work continues in front of Southlake Regional Health Centre. The north side of Davis is now complete and crews will now be concentrating their efforts on the south side from the Southlake entrance to Roxborough Road. The south sidewalk will be open within the next three weeks.

lane reduction at Patterson Street / Roxborough Road

Next week, crews will be reducing lanes on Patterson / Roxborough, just north and south of Davis, to accommodate sidewalk installation in the area.

work dates*: Monday, June 6 to Friday, June 10
work hours*: 7am-5pm

  • Patterson / Roxborough will be reduced to one lane in each direction, just north and south of Davis Drive.
  • Dedicated left-turn lanes on Patterson / Roxborough will be temporarily eliminated and one lane in each direction will be shared for all traffic movements.

* Please note: as with other road construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather. We’ll provide advance notice whenever possible.
