trail access closure and sidewalk work on Davis Drive

Next week, crews will be working on pedestrian walkways along Davis. Please read on for details.

access to Tom Taylor Trail closed west of Keith Bridge

The pedestrian walkway that leads to the Tom Taylor Trail on the south side of Davis, west of Keith Bridge, will be closed as crews install a small retaining wall along the trail and pave the walkway.

work dates*: Wednesday, May 18 to Friday, May 27
work hours*: 7am-7pm

  • Pedestrians can access the Tom Taylor Trail and Davis from the Tannery Mall parking lot, north of Keith Bridge. Signs will be onsite to direct pedestrians around the closure.

sidewalk replacements

Crews will be removing and replacing sections of sidewalk along the south and north sides of Davis Drive to correct deficiencies on the surface that have been identified. These sections of sidewalk are being replaced during the warranty period to ensure quality is maintained in future years along the corridor.

work dates*: Monday, May 16 to Friday, May 20
work hours*: 7am-7pm

  • Crews will remove sections of sidewalk in various locations on the south and north sides of Davis Drive from Yonge Street to Alexander Road and pour concrete to replace each section.
  • Temporary curb lane closures will be required where work is underway.
  • Sidewalks will remain open during the work and signage will be onsite to direct pedestrians around the closure.
  • Curbside bus stops and vivastations will continue service during regular hours.
  • Noise, dust and intermittent vibrations are associated with this work.

* Please note: as with other road construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather. We’ll provide advance notice whenever possible.
