Next week, crews will continue planting trees, shrubs and perennials in the rapidway medians along Davis Drive between Parkside Drive / Longford Drive and Main Street. This is the second phase of median planting. The third and final phase will be from Keith Bridge to Main Street.
work dates*: Monday, May 16 to Friday, May 20
work hours*: 7am-7pm
what you need to know:
- In preparation for this work, crews will be setting up traffic barrels between Parkside / Longford and Main during the early hours of Monday, May 16.
- Traffic barrels and lane closures will remain in place for the duration of this work.
- Eastbound traffic will be reduced to one lane just east of Parkside / Longford and again from east of Lorne Avenue to just west of Main Street. Viva Yellow will be occupying the closed lane between Lorne and Main as crews work in the rapidway.
- Westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane just east and west of Lorne Avenue.
- Viva Yellow will continue to drop-off/pick-up at all regular stops. Please board at the vivastations as normal.
- Noise, dust and intermittent vibrations are associated with this work.
* Please note: as with other road construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather. We’ll provide advance notice whenever possible.
