As we are in the final stages before opening the rapidway, planned activities may change or other work may be added to take full advantage of favourable weather or available crews so the work can be completed as soon as possible. To that end, we are doing work this weekend to prepare for paving, and have made adjustments to the paving plan for Monday.

paving update

Following a pre-paving inspection of the corridor, it has been determined that the eastbound lanes are ready for paving, while the westbound lanes have a few items that need to be addressed before paving begins. To avoid any delays to the overall paving schedule, we will proceed with the paving of the eastbound lanes on Monday, October 19. For details of the paving activity, click here.

weekend work

To prepare for next week’s paving activities, crews will be out this weekend working along the corridor. Lanes will be temporarily closed to accommodate machinery.

work dates: Saturday, October 17 – Sunday, October 18*
work hours: 7am-7pm*

• There is noise associated with this work.
• Expect delays as this work is taking place.
• Pedestrian access will be maintained along the corridor. Watch for signs and follow directions.
