The next phase of rapidway construction is underway on Davis Drive. Permanent changes come into effect for motorists as of July 23. Please pay close attention to the signs in place at each intersection between Longford Drive/Parkside Drive and Main Street to navigate the changes safely.
Work date: July 23 from 7am-7pm*
Work area: Davis between Longford and Main
What you need to know:
- Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Lanes will shift throughout the day. Please expect traffic delays and construction-related noise.
- As of July 23, left-turns into Hill Street, Vincent Street, Niagara Street, and the following driveways will not be possible:
- 251-259 Davis plaza
- 8 Hill Street apartments
- 333 Davis [Bethel Church]
- 355 Davis [Taoist Tai Chi Society of Canada]
- 230 Davis [Church of Christ]
- 350 Davis plaza
- 378 Davis [Dentistry on Davis]
- 390 Davis plaza
- Motorists will only be able to turn right into and out of the streets and driveways mentioned above.
- Eastbound U-turns at Lorne are NOT permitted. Eastbound motorists will have to continue to Main in order to make a U-turn to access Hill, Vincent and properties on the north side between Longford and Main.
- Westbound motorists will be able to make U-turns at Lorne to access Niagara and properties on the south side between Lorne and Main.
- Pedestrian access to businesses will be maintained. Please follow the posted signs to guide you to your destination.
final traffic configuration on Davis:
- Drivers can only turn left at a traffic light when the left-turn arrow is illuminated.
- Unless signed otherwise, motorists will be able to make U-turns at signalized intersections from the dedicated left-turn lane. U-turns will be possible when the left-turn traffic signal is illuminated.
