Please see below for information on overnight work starting this evening [April 30] and weekend GO train testing on Davis Drive. A reminder of current and upcoming road closures is also included.
overnight work on Davis Drive [April 30-May1]
Tonight, crews will be performing watermain work just east of Keith Bridge. A portion of Davis Drive will be reduced to one shared lane for both east and westbound traffic during the hours stated below.
Work dates: Tonight, Thursday, April 30 to Friday, May 1
Work hours: Overnight 9pm to 6am
What you need to know:
- Davis Drive will be reduced to one shared lane for both east and westbound traffic between Keith Bridge and Charles Street
- Please expect traffic delays in the area
- Traffic control staff will be onsite to direct and manage traffic flow
- There will be noise and increased construction traffic in the area
weekend GO train testing
Crews will be testing the GO rail signals on Davis this weekend in preparation for the GO rail track work that will take place over the long weekend [May 15-19]. For more information on the work occurring over the long weekend that will have Davis Drive detoured at the GO rail track, please click here.
Train testing: Saturday, May 2 and Sunday, May 3
Where: Davis at the GO rail tracks
Time: Starting at approximately 10am and running intermittently throughout both days
What you need to know:
- In order to test the GO rail signals, trains will be crossing Davis Drive at intermittent intervals on Saturday and Sunday
- Expect traffic delays in the area as testing is taking place
reminder: road closures
Please see below for current and upcoming road closures off Davis:
- Charles Street – Tuesday, April 28 until Monday, May 4
- Longford Drive – Friday, May 1
During road closures, detour signs will be in place to guide drivers around the closure. Please watch for these signs as they will provide the most up-to-date information. Click here to check the status of ongoing and upcoming road closures, as dates may change and closures could be extended.
