Starting this month, crews will be removing the vacant building owned by York Region on the northwest corner of Davis and Longford Drive [see map below]. Removal of the building is required to make room for widening the road to accommodate the bus rapidway. Please be advised that there will be noise and dust associated with this work. At times weekend work may be required.

What you need to know

• Building removal and site clean-up will take approximately 2 months
• The property will be fenced and all activities will be fully monitored and supervised to conform to regional/municipality bylaws and all other regulatory requirements
• Sidewalks around the demolition area [on the north side of Davis and the west side of Longford] may be closed at times, follow directional signs for alternate sidewalk access
• Lane closures on Longford may be required at times during this work
