road closure: Niagara Street closed at Davis Drive December 9-13

December 05, 2013

As crews install ductbank [a structure that gathers together and encases telecommunications wires underground] across Niagara Street, the road will be temporarily closed for a few days just south of Davis Drive. This is one of a few necessary road closures on Niagara to complete infrastructure and road work. Additional road closures will be required next year for storm sewer and watermain
installation, to remove curbs and sidewalks, to widen the road around Niagara Street and Davis Drive, install new curbs and sidewalks and pave the work area on Niagara.

Niagara Street closure dates: Monday, December 9 – Friday, December 13*

what you need to know [see map]:

  • The entrances off Davis and Niagara to the 350 Davis Drive plaza are open
  • Only a small segment of Niagara [just south of Davis] will be closed. Vehicle
thru-traffic from Niagara to Davis will not be permitted during the road closure
  • Detour signs will be in place to guide motorists around the closure
  • Due to the nature of this work, at times there will be noise
  • Work hours are approximately 7am to 7pm, however the closure will stay in
    place overnight
