Starting in October, crews will begin construction activities in the Shoppers Drug Mart/LCBO/Blinds To Go plaza.
Work date: Starting in October*
Work time: 7am–7pm
stages of work:
- Connect the plaza to the newly built temporary parking lot next door to the east [i.e. the old car wash and Cango Gas Station]
- Build a driveway to the new temporary parking lot from George Street
- Build a retaining wall, backfill, pave and restore the area
access to the Shoppers Drug Mart/LCBO/Blinds To Go plaza [see map]:
- As crews work in the plaza’s parking lot, pedestrian and vehicle access to the plaza will be maintained from Davis Drive and Yonge Street
- Once the temporary parking lot is complete, patrons will also be able to access the plaza through George Street
- Parking will not be available in work areas
bus stop and sidewalk closures:
- One sidewalk will remain open on Davis Drive. Please follow directional signs
- Should any bus stops be temporarily relocated, directional signs will guide pedestrians to the new bus stop location
