As part of the vivaNext rapidway project, Parkside Drive will be realigned to meet Longford Drive. To prepare for this change and to relocate underground storm pipes and drains in the area, there will be heavy construction in the area of Parkside and Longford Drive over the next few months. During this work, the entrance to 200 Davis Drive will be shifted at times off of Parkside Drive [see map below].
- Crews will be working along the front of 200 Davis Drive in the boulevard
- Once complete, crews will cross Parkside Drive to continue work at the 130 Davis Drive Plaza
Dates of work: Starting the week of April 15 for approximately 6 – 8 weeks*
Work hours: 7am-7pm
- Fence off the necessary work area
- Dig a trench to expose existing storm pipe
- Lay new storm drainage
pipe and install manholes - Backfill and restore the area
- Access to the 200 Davis Drive shops will be maintained from Parkside Drive
- Signage will be in place to direct traffic
- When work is completed
the entrance off Davis Drive will re-open - The permanent access to
200 Davis Drive will be off of Parkside Drive once it has been aligned
with Longford Drive
- The eastbound curb lane on Davis Drive will be closed as part of the long-term traffic shift to accommodate rapidway construction
- Where the south sidewalk is closed, the north sidewalk will remain
open - The eastbound bus stop on the southwest corner of Davis and
Parkside Drive will remain open
