upcoming work >> sidewalk repairs and closures on Bathurst

Starting today, and over the next few weeks, crews will be removing and replacing damaged sections of concrete sidewalk along the west side of Bathurst Street, over the 407 bridge. This section of sidewalk is being replaced during the warranty period to ensure the quality is maintained in future years. Please see below for further details.

what you need to know:

work dates*: Thursday, October 8, for approximately two weeks
work hours*: 7am-5:30pm, with closures in place 24/7

  • Crews will be completing sidewalk removals and repairs along the west side of Bathurst, over the 407 bridge. The sidewalk in the area will be closed for the duration of the work.
  • During this work, pedestrians will be detoured onto the roadway. Concrete barriers and fencing will be in place prior to work commencing and signage will guide pedestrians around the work area.
  • There will be a curb lane closure over the 407 bridge during the work operation.
  • Due to the nature of this work, there will be construction-related noise and dust from equipment and trucks.
  • Work will be completed as quickly as possible to minimize inconvenience as much as possible.
  • Please give yourself enough time to get to your destination and remember to reduce your speed through construction zones.
