Pre-construction work underway on Davis Drive

Work has begun on Davis Drive, preparing the site for rapidway construction. As with any large project, a lot of work has to happen along the street before actual construction can begin. Between now and later this year, crews will be out doing various tasks including:
- Soil sampling and testing
- Building removal, site clean up, relocation of signs
- Relocation of powerlines, poles and other utilities
To minimize any inconvenience, we will make every effort to inform immediate neighbours, letting you know when and where work is going to take place.
Preparing Properties
Since December 2009, York Region Property Services have been busy preparing the properties along Davis Drive that had to be acquired for rapidway construction. Our work includes:
- Securing buildings
- Cleaning up sites
- Getting buildings ready for removal
We are managing our properties along Davis Drive to keep everything in good shape. Our next bulletin will outline the schedule for these activities.
